No campo sócioeducacional, mais do que uma procura explicativa dos fenómenos e da realidade social, a investigação almeja uma descrição e compreensão dos mesmos para neles se atuar. Neste contexto, emergem e ganham sentido as investigações de natureza qualitativa, que privilegiam uma produção de conhecimento comprometida com a transformação e emancipação das pessoas e das comunidades. De entre as metodologias que integram este tipo de pesquisa, destacamos a investigação ação participativa, a qual será o objeto de análise e reflexão do presente artigo. Esta metodologia destaca-se pelo facto de valorizar a voz das pessoas - sobretudo daquelas que pertencem a grupos minoritários e marginalizados -, incentivando-as a se envolverem e a participarem na transformação e melhoria das suas vidas, e na determinação dos acontecimentos sociais que as afetam.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The constant evolution, discoveries and transformations of a globalized world influence the paradigms that guide the researcher in the way of doing and conceiving science. In the socio-educational field, more than an explanatory search for phenomena and social reality, the investigation aims at a description and understanding of them to act. In this context, investigations of a qualitative nature emerge and gain meaning, which privilege a production of knowledge committed to the transformation and emancipation of people. Among the methodologies that integrate this type of research, we highlight the participatory action investigation, which will be the object of analysis and reflection in this article. This methodology stands out for the fact that it values the voice of people - especially those who belong to minorities and marginalized groups - and encourages them to get involved and participate in the transformation and improvement of their lives, and in determining the social events that affect them.]]></p></abstract>

Dans le domaine socio-éducatif, plus qu&#8217;une recherche explicative des phénomènes et de la réalité sociale, la recherche vise à les décrire et à les comprendre afin d&#8217;agir sur eux. Dans ce contexte, des enquêtes qualitatives émergent et prennent tout leur sens, qui privilégient une production de savoirs engagés dans la transformation et l&#8217;émancipation des personnes et des communautés. Parmi les méthodologies qui intègrent ce type de recherche, nous soulignons l&#8217;investigation de l&#8217;action participative, qui fera l&#8217;objet d&#8217;analyse et de réflexion de cet article.
