Les activités développées par un personnel aux parcours hétérogènes &#339;uvrant dans des contextes organisationnels parfois éloignés peinent à se résumer à un répertoire commun. La formation fragmentée entre plusieurs disciplines et son statut même, qui oscille entre la reconnaissance institutionnelle et le travail plus officieux, tient à ses conditions d&#8217;émergence dans les années 1980-1990, ayant présidé à la dépolitisation des contenus qu&#8217;elle véhicule et à l&#8217;absence du regroupement des praticiens en un corps de métier afin de prévenir l&#8217;essor d&#8217;un pouvoir culturel tel qu&#8217;il s&#8217;était exercé par les animateurs socioculturels la décennie précédente. Dans ce contexte, la professionnalisation de l&#8217;intervention a permis de dissimuler son caractère politique en contrebalançant l&#8217;éthique militante des médiateurs culturels par le respect du code déontologique des professions concernées.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo O conceito e as práticas de mediação cultural conduziram certamente à constituição de um paradigma, mas não a uma profissão unificada. As atividades desenvolvidas por pessoas com percursos heterogéneos que operam em contextos organizacionais por vezes distantes, têm dificuldade em se resumir a um repertório comum. A formação fragmentada entre várias disciplinas e o seu próprio estatuto, que oscila entre o reconhecimento institucional e o trabalho mais oficioso, deve-se às suas condições de emergência nos 1980-1990, tendo presidido à despolitização dos conteúdos que veicula e à ausência do reagrupamento dos praticantes num corpo de profissões, a fim de impedir o desenvolvimento de um poder cultural como o exercido pelos animadores socioculturais na década anterior. Neste contexto, a profissionalização da intervenção permitiu dissimular o seu carácter político, contrabalançando a ética militante dos mediadores culturais pelo respeito do código deontológico das profissões em causa.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The concept and practices of cultural mediation have led to the constitution of a paradigm, but not a unified profession. The activities developed by staff with heterogeneous backgrounds working in sometimes distant organizational contexts are difficult to sum up as a common repertoire. The fragmented formation between several disciplines and its very status, which oscillates between institutional recognition and more informal work, is due to its conditions of emergence in the 1980-1990s, having presided over the depoliticization of the contents it conveys and the absence of the grouping of practitioners into a professional corporation in order to prevent the rise of a cultural power as it had been exercised by the socio-cultural animators the previous decade. In this context, the professionalization of the intervention made it possible to conceal its political character by counterbalancing the militant ethics of cultural mediators by the respect of the code of ethics of the professions concerned.]]></p></abstract>

Las actividades desarrolladas por un personas con trayectorias heterogéneas que trabaja en contextos organizativos a veces distantes tienen dificultades para resumirse en un repertorio común. La formación fragmentada entre varias disciplinas y su propio estatus, que oscila entre el reconocimiento institucional y el trabajo más informal, se debe a sus condiciones de emergencia en los años 1980-1990, que dio lugar a la despolitización de los contenidos que transmite y a la ausencia de la reagrupación de los profesionales en un cuerpo de oficio para impedir el surgimiento de un poder cultural como el que habían ejercido los animadores socioculturales en el decenio anterior. En este contexto, la profesionalización de la intervención permitió disimular su carácter político compensando la ética militante de los mediadores culturales mediante el respeto del código deontológico de las profesiones afectadas.]]></p></abstract>
