Desde Platão que vários teóricos apontam as mais-valias da educação com a arte como base da formação holística das pessoas e como forma de criar envolvimento comprometido e transformação social. Acreditamos que o papel do mediador cultural e artístico a trabalhar no seio da escola pode ser um fator fundamental neste processo e que pela sua ação podem ocorrer transformações sociais e educacionais na escola e na comunidade. Arte é vida! Arte, cultura, vida não podem no nosso entender aparecer de forma espartilhada e compartimentada. Acreditamos no papel do mediador cultural e artístico a operar em contexto educativo e comunitário como forma de impulsionar processos de participação ativa, informada e a criação de espaços de diálogo e respeito pelos dissensos e como promotor de vontades de cidadania ativa, reforço do sentimento de pertença a uma comunidade, valorização da diversidade cultural e humana e inclusão. O presente artigo reflete a base teoricamente informada desta perspetiva fundamentada pela prática profissional da autora ao longo da sua experiência de mais de dez anos nos campos da mediação artístico-cultural em contexto educativo e comunitário.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The idea that art and education should go hand in hand and the transformation that art can operate in the development of the human person and in the society in which we live is not new. Since Plato, several theorists have pointed out the added value of education with art as the basis for the holistic formation of people and as a way of creating engaged involvement and social transformation. We believe that the role of the cultural and artistic mediator working within the school can be a fundamental factor in this process and that, through their action, social and educational transformations can occur in the school and in the community. Art and life! Art, culture, life cannot, in our understanding, appear in a corseted and compartmentalized way. We believe in the role of the cultural and artistic mediator operating in an educational and community context as a way to boost processes of active, informed participation and the creation of spaces for dialogue and respect for dissent and as a promoter of active citizenship, strengthening the feeling of belonging to a community, appreciation of cultural and human diversity and inclusion. This article reflects the first-person perspective of more than a decade as a professional at the service of the school and the community and of the projects developed in an educational and professional context since 2009.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen La idea de que el arte y la educación deben ir de la mano y la transformación que el arte puede operar en el desarrollo de la persona humana y de la sociedad en la que vivimos no es nueva. Desde Platón, diversos teóricos han señalado el valor añadido de la educación con el arte como base para la formación integral de las personas y como forma de generar implicación comprometida y transformación social. Creemos que el papel del mediador cultural y artístico que trabaja dentro de la escuela puede ser un factor fundamental en este proceso y que, a través de su acción, se pueden producir transformaciones sociales y educativas en la escuela y en la comunidad. ¡Arte y vida! El arte, la cultura, la vida no pueden, a nuestro entender, aparecer de forma encorsetada y compartimentada. Creemos en el papel del mediador cultural y artístico que actúa en un contexto educativo y comunitario como forma de impulsar procesos de participación activa e informada y de creación de espacios de diálogo y respeto al disenso y como promotor de una ciudadanía activa, fortaleciendo lo sentimiento de pertenencia a una comunidad, valoración de la diversidad cultural y humana e inclusión. <abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[Résumé L'idée que l'art et l'éducation doivent aller de pair et que l'art peut opérer des transformations dans le développement de la personne humaine et dans la société dans laquelle nous vivons n'est pas nouvelle. Depuis Platon, plusieurs théoriciens ont souligné la valeur ajoutée de l'éducation ayant l'art comme base de la formation holistique des personnes et comme moyen de créer une implication engagée et une transformation sociale. Nous croyons que le rôle du médiateur culturel et artistique &#339;uvrant au sein de l'école peut être un facteur fondamental dans ce processus et que, par son action, des transformations sociales et éducatives peuvent se produire à l'école et dans la communauté. L'art et la vie ! L'art, la culture, la vie ne peuvent, à notre sens, apparaître de manière corsetée et cloisonnée. Nous croyons au rôle du médiateur culturel et artistique opérant dans un contexte éducatif et communautaire comme moyen de stimuler les processus de participation active et informée et la création d'espaces de dialogue et de respect de la dissidence et comme promoteur de la citoyenneté active, renforçant le sentiment d'appartenance à une communauté, appréciation de la diversité et de l'inclusion culturelle et humaine.
