However, little is known about the intention of tourism business managers to adopt VR for leisure purposes. In this context, this study aims to explore this intention by interviewing managers in the sector. This process allowed us to examine their perceptions regarding the use of this technology in their business models. The results revealed that the perceived usefulness of VR is a key factor in its adoption. In addition, managers recognise the value of VR as a complement to the tourist visit, and their intention to adopt it increases when a positive return on investment is anticipated. This approach offers a unique perspective on the main factors influencing technology adoption in this context, broadens the understanding of VR applications in wine tourism, and highlights its potential to transform the visitor experience and drive growth in the sector through innovative business models.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo A Realidade Virtual (RV) tem sido reconhecida como uma tecnologia promissora para melhorar a experiência turística. No entanto, pouco se sabe sobre a intenção dos gestores de empresas de turismo em adotar a RV para fins de lazer. Este estudo tem como objetivo explorar essa intenção através de entrevistas com gestores do setor. Este processo permitiu analisar as suas perceções relativamente à utilização desta tecnologia nos seus modelos de negócio. Os resultados revelaram que a utilidade percebida da RV é um fator-chave na sua adoção. Além disso, os gestores reconhecem o valor da RV como um complemento à visita turística, sendo que a sua intenção de a adotar aumenta quando se antecipa um retorno positivo do investimento. Esta abordagem oferece uma perspetiva única sobre os principais fatores que influenciam a adoção de tecnologia neste contexto, alarga a compreensão das aplicações da RV no enoturismo e destaca o seu potencial para transformar a experiência do visitante e impulsionar o crescimento do setor através de modelos de negócio inovadores.]]></p></abstract>
