Alicerçando-nos em Almeida (2019), Costeleanu (2021) e Kakepoto, Laghari e Buriro (2022), discutimos as opiniões dos alunos do curso de Engenharia Informática em linha direta com as expectativas / requisitos exigidos pelo mundo do trabalho. Com recurso a uma metodologia de natureza qualitativa, através da técnica de inquérito por questionário, concluímos que os futuros profissionais da área da Engenharia Informática estão conscientes da importância que a comunicação técnica assume no desempenho das diversas funções exigidas pelo mundo profissional. Contudo, só uma aproximação entre o contexto académico e o mundo do trabalho contribuirá para o delinear de uma intervenção didática capaz de responder eficazmente às exigências do atual mundo industrial.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article reflects on the expectations of students in the 1st year of Computer Engineering regarding the curricular unit of Technical Communication. Based on Almeida (2019), Costeleanu (2021), and Kakepoto, Laghari and Buriro (2022), we discuss the opinions of students of the Computer Engineering Course in direct line with the expectations / requirements demanded by the world of work. Using a methodology of a qualitative nature, through the questionnaire survey, we conclude that future professionals in the field of computer engineering are aware of the importance that technical communication has in the performance of the various functions required by the professional world. However, only an approximation between the academic context and the world of work will contribute to the design of a didactic intervention capable of responding effectively to the demands of the current industrial world.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este artículo reflexiona sobre las expectativas de los estudiantes de 1° curso de la Licenciatura en Ingeniería Informática en relación a la unidad curricular de técnicas de comunicación. Con base en Almeida (2019), Costeleanu (2021) y Kakepoto, Laghari y Buriro (2022), discutimos las opiniones de los estudiantes del Curso de Ingeniería Informática en línea directa con las expectativas/requerimientos que demanda el mundo del trabajo. Utilizando una metodología de carácter cualitativo, a través de cuestionario de encuesta, concluimos que los futuros profesionales del campo de la ingeniería informática son conscientes de la importancia que tiene la comunicación técnica en el desempeño de las diversas funciones que requiere el mundo profesional. Sin embargo, sólo una aproximación entre el contexto académico y el mundo laboral contribuirá al diseño de una intervención didáctica capaz de responder de forma eficaz a las exigencias del mundo industrial actual.]]></p></abstract>
