Artefato este que parece funcionar como uma prótese destes alunos, praticamente implantada em suas mãos, e incorporada a quase todas as suas práticas culturais. Ao entrevistar 168 jovens de uma Escola Pública, por meio de questionário semiestruturado e por meio do Grupo de Discussão, este trabalho teve como objetivo identificar a percepção dos estudantes do 1ª ano do Ensino Médio da rede pública da cidade de Santarém/Pa/Brasil sobre o uso do celular. Após estudo dos dados, foi possível criar os seguintes eixos de análise: 1) Jovens Multiletrados, 2) Jovens que se relacionam de múltiplas formas e 3) Jovens envolvidos em práticas de consumo. Como resultado, foi possível perceber que os celulares acompanham esses jovens continuamente, fazem parte de suas vidas e das atividades relacionadas à sua condição juvenil, sendo, em certa medida, determinante na ocorrência dessas práticas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT When we enter a high school classroom, it is increasingly rare to find a young person who does not have a cell phone. An artifact that seems to function as a prosthesis for these students, practically implanted in their hands, and incorporated into almost all of their cultural practices. By interviewing 168 young people from a public school, through a semi structured questionnaire and through the Discussion Group, this work aimed to identify the perception of students of the first year of a public high school of the city of Santarem/Pa/Brazil about the use of cell phones. After studying the data, it was possible to create the following axes of analysis: 1) Multiliterate Youth, 2) Youth who relate in multiple ways, and 3) Youth involved in consumption practices. As result, it was possible to perceive that cell phones accompany these young people continuously, are part of their lives and activities related to their youthful condition, being, to a certain extent, determinant in the occurrence of these practices.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Cuando ingresamos a una clase de secundaria, cada vez es más extraño encontrar a un joven que no tenga un teléfono móvil. Un artefacto que parece funcionar como una prótesis para estos estudiantes, prácticamente implantada en sus manos, e incorporada en casi todas sus prácticas culturales. Mediante entrevistas a 168 jóvenes de una Escuela Pública, a través de un cuestionario semiestructurado y por medio del Grupo de Discusión, este trabajo tuvo como objetivo identificar la percepción de los estudiantes del 1º año de Enseñanza Media de la red pública de la ciudad de Santarém/Pa/Brasil sobre el uso de celulares. Después de estudiar los datos, fue posible crear los siguientes ejes de análisis: 1) Jóvenes Multiletrados, 2) Jóvenes que se relacionan de múltiples formas e 3) Jóvenes involucrados en prácticas de consumo.
