A presente revisão narrativa procura resumir a evidência disponível sobre a eficácia da Dieta de Exclusão na indução e manutenção da remissão em pessoas com doença de Crohn. A dieta de exclusão da doença de Crohn é uma estratégia de longo prazo, que aparentemente atua nos mecanismos que influenciam o aparecimento da inflamação, usando alimentos específicos e reduzindo a exposição alimentar a produtos que afetam negativamente a microbiota, induzindo e mantendo a remissão.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Several studies have explored the role of the Crohn's disease exclusion diet, as a therapeutic option, either in children, adolescents or adults. This narrative review aims to summarize the available evidence on the effectiveness of the Crohn's disease exclusion diet for induction and maintenance of remission in people with Crohn's disease. The Crohn's disease exclusion diet is a long-term strategy, which apparently acts on the mechanisms that influence the onset of inflammation, using specific foods and reducing the dietary exposure to products that negatively affect the microbiota, inducing and maintaining remission.]]></p></abstract>
