Essas exigências podem advir não só dos utentes e familiares, mas também dos horários e condições e de trabalho, muitas vezes, difíceis de controlar ou alterar. Segundo a Organização Mundial de Saúde o Stress crónico no local de trabalho leva à Síndrome de Burnout. Nesta linha de pensamento, uma das principais preocupações do Hospital do Arcebispo João Crisóstomo de Cantanhede é procurar e garantir o bem-estar geral dos seus colaboradores e desenvolver esforços para garantir o nível elevado desse bem-estar.  Objetivos O principal objetivo desta avaliação é perceber os níveis de Ansiedade, Depressão e Burnout dos profissionais de saúde da instituição atrás referida.  Metodologia Foram utilizados instrumentos de autorresposta, nomeadamente a Escala de Ansiedade, Depressão e Stress (EADS-42) e o Questionário de Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (CBI). Estes instrumentos foram aplicados aos profissionais que, de forma voluntária, colaboraram no estudo. Após a aplicação das mesmas, os resultados foram analisados recorrendo ao Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS).  Resultados Dos 62 colaboradores que participaram no questionário, 83,9% são do género feminino e a categoria profissional mais representada é a de Enfermagem (38,7%). De referir que todos os resultados obtidos foram considerados normativos/inferiores quando comparados com os dados para a população portuguesa, à exceção do Burnout, relacionado com o trabalho, visto que apresenta valores moderados para o género masculino e também moderados para a categoria profissional de Enfermagem.  Discussão/Conclusão O Hospital de Cantanhede tem desenvolvido várias estratégias para prevenção e minimização da Ansiedade, Depressão e Síndrome de Burnout, realizando periodicamente a avaliação do risco psicossocial dos profissionais de saúde, para avaliação das mesmas. Neste sentido, a instituição tem desenvolvido várias iniciativas, como concertos, atividades comemorativas, intervenções mais estruturadas como prática de yoga e minfulness, sessões de esclarecimento sobre a síndrome de Burnout e mesmo intervenção psicológica e/ou psiquiátrica, sempre que identificada a sua necessidade. Importa salientar que, sempre com o intuito do bem-estar dos profissionais de saúde, a continuidade deste estudo é imperativa, pelo que será replicado em 2024.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT  Introduction Health professionals are daily exposed to a set of demands that are often unpredictable and, consequently, have direct implications for their physical and mental health. These demands can come not only from users and family members, but also from working hours and conditions, which are difficult to control or change. According to the World Health Organization, chronic stress in the workplace leads to Burnout Syndrome. In this line of thought, one of the main concerns of Cantanhede&#8217;s Arcebispo João Crisóstomo Hospital is to seek and guarantee the general well-being of its employees and to make efforts to ensure a high level of this well-being.  Objectives The main objective of this evaluation is to understand the Cantanhede&#8217;s Arcebispo João Crisóstomo Hospital health professionals&#8217; levels of Anxiety, Depression and Burnout.  Methodology Self-response instruments were used, such as the Anxiety, Depression and Stress Scale (EADS-42) and the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (CBI) Questionnaire. These instruments were applied to professionals who voluntarily collaborated in the study. After applying them, the results were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS).  Results Out of the 62 employees who participated in the questionnaire, 83.9% are female and the most represented professional category is Nursing (38.7%). It should be noted that all the results obtained were considered normative/inferior when compared with the data for the Portuguese population, apart from Burnout, related to work, since it presents moderate values for the male gender and moderate for Nursing professional category.  Discussion/Conclusion Cantanhede Hospital has developed several strategies for Anxiety, Depression and Burnout Syndrome prevention and minimization, carrying out periodically an assessment of the health professional&#8217;s psychosocial risk. In this sense, the hospital has developed several initiatives, such as concerts, commemorative activities, more structured interventions such as yoga and mindfulness, clarification sessions on Burnout syndrome and even psychological and/or psychiatric intervention, whenever the need is identified. It is important to point out that, always aiming health professionals&#8217; well-being, the continuity of this study is imperative, so it will be replicated in 2024.]]></p></abstract>
