O objetivo principal do conservador funciona como modelo de avaliação na assistência a espaços museológicos e galerias com a implementação de soluções técnicas viáveis para a sua conservação e salvaguarda do património. O restaurador exerce a sua atividade profissional com especialização na área do restauro de obras de arte, desde a pintura, arte sacra, frescos, em múltiplos espaços museológicos, locais de culto quer públicos ou privados, para além de outros espaços potenciadores de arte. Contudo estes profissionais devem estar em permanente atualização face a novos métodos e técnicas, novos materiais, com recursos inovadores, assim como a existência de uma interdisciplinaridade e capacidade de trabalho especializado e organizado em grupo pelos responsáveis conservadores. Este processo resulta da segurança e preservação das coleções com determinadas condições ambientais, requisição de peritos e meios técnicos de avaliação.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This work aims to study the area of conservation and restoration of works of art, whose factors described throughout the work are associated with degradation and deterioration that can be caused by physical and environmental causes. The conservator's main objective works as an evaluation model in assisting museological spaces and galleries with the implementation of viable technical solutions for their conservation and safeguarding of heritage. The restorer exercises his professional activity with specialization in the area of restoration of works of art, from painting, sacred art, frescoes, in multiple museum spaces, places of worship whether public or private, in addition to other spaces that enhance art. However, these professionals must be constantly updated in the face of new methods and techniques, new materials, with innovative resources, as well as the existence of an interdisciplinary approach and the ability to work specialized and organized in a group by the responsible conservators. This process results from the safety and preservation of collections with certain environmental conditions, request of experts and technical means of evaluation.]]></p></abstract>
