No entanto, fortaleceu o modelo biomédico e promoveu a desumanização da assistência, resultando na quebra da relação de confiança entre o médico e a sociedade. O profissionalismo médico, apontado como um caminho para resgatar esse vínculo, tem os valores humanísticos como um de seus constituintes essenciais. Objetivo: este trabalho analisa, por meio da percepção docente, como a interação Arte e Medicina pode contribuir com o desenvolvimento de competências humanísticas do profissionalismo médico. Métodos: trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória, descritiva, de natureza qualitativa, utilizando-se grupos focais on-line e Análise de Conteúdo de Bardin para a coleta e interpretação dos dados. Resultados: vinte docentes atuantes em distintos eixos pedagógicos, disciplinas e níveis de ensino-aprendizagem participaram voluntariamente do estudo. Quatro categorias temáticas emergiram da análise: 1. Medicina: Ciência e Arte; 2. Arte e Desenvolvimento do profissionalismo na Educação Médica; 3. Encontros e Relações Dialógicas mediados pela Arte no ensino médico; e 4. Promoção da Arte no ensino médico: desafios e oportunidades. Conclusões: este estudo indica a importância atribuída pelos docentes ao uso da arte e a percepção sobre sua aplicabilidade no ensino, para o desenvolvimento e expressão de competências para a prática profissional humanística. Aponta a utilização da arte, na escola pesquisada, como recurso didático- pedagógico, bem como, para as reflexões sobre as questões éticas e os valores humanísticos, por iniciativas individuais, institucionalizadas ou não, sobretudo nos contextos do ensino e extensão universitária. Os docentes perceberam o potencial da arte para o desenvolvimento de valores vinculados ao profissionalismo: empatia, sensibilidade, ética e respeito, além de competências/habilidades relacionadas à comunicação, interação e vínculo. Reconhece-se a Medicina como Ciência e Arte, campos que sustentam a atuação intersubjetiva na relação médico-paciente, encontro para a máxima expressão do profissionalismo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: Introduction: The lately years of scientific and technological development brought unnavigable benefits to the Medical and health fields, specifically. Nonetheless, it makes the biomedical model stronger and promoted dehumanization of care, breaking the confidence relationship between doctors and society. Medical professionalism pointed as a way to rescue this, has humanistic values with its essential constitutes. Goals: Through the teacher&#8217;s perspective, this work analyses how the art and medicine interaction can contribute to medical professionalism humanistic skills development. Methods: Descriptive exploratory qualitative research that adopts the online focal group's method and Bardin&#8217;s content analysis to collect data. Results: Twenty teachers in many pedagogical axes, disciplines, and teaching-learning levels participate voluntarily in this study. Four essential thematic categories are defined: Medicine: art and science; art and educational professionalism development; encounters and dialogical relations mediate by art at medical teaching: opportunities and challenges. Conclusions: It indicates the importance given by teachers to the use of art and perception of its applicability on teaching competencies development and expression to humanistic professional practices. Points the utilization of art at the researched school primarily as didactic-pedagogical resource, also to put individual ethical and humanistic approaches reflections, institutionalized or not, mainly at university teaching and extension contexts. The teachers notice the art potential to develop values onto professionalism: empathy, sensibility, ethics, and respect, as well as skills and communication, interaction, and ties abilities. Recognizes Medicine as Science and Art, fields that sustain the intersubjective acting between medic and patient, encounter to the higher expression of professionalism.]]></p></abstract>
