This study analyzes Os Nossos Filhos (1942-1958) and supports the thesis that this feminine magazine must be seen as a political resistance programme, in opposition to the one defined by the Estado Novo (political Portuguese period 1933-1974). It describes an alternative educational curriculum for mothers and children very different from the one this political regime used to support and to impose.
