Resumen

SOARES, Tatiana Alves. On masks and anguishes - The feminine in Três Mulheres com Máscara de Ferro. Faces de Eva. Estudos sobre a Mulher [online]. 2024, n.51, pp.14-32.  Epub 30-Ene-2025. ISSN 0874-6885.  https://doi.org/10.34619/oy7v-rdww.

Três Mulheres com Máscara de Ferro, by Agustina Bessa-Luís, is a short play, written in 1998 and published in 2014, which presents three feminine characters - Sibila, Fanny and Ema - in dialogue with each other, reflecting on life, the world and their own condition. Thus, this article aims to analyze the aforementioned play based on the representation of the feminine condition contained in it. Based on intertextual dialogues and symbolic and cultural elements present in the script, our analysis suggests a reading of the feminine in light of the reflection proposed by the work.

Palabras clave : Agustina; theater; intertextuality; feminine.
