ZAMBON, Antonio Carlos y BAIOCO, Gisele Busichia. Extended Concept Map: enhancing capability of knowledge representation of the traditional concept maps. RISTI [online]. 2025, n.58, pp.5-19. Epub 30-Jun-2025. ISSN 1646-9895. https://doi.org/10.17013/risti.58.5-19.
This paper presents the Extended Concept Maps, which are instruments for knowledge representation that, through the addition of semantic elements to traditional concept maps, make it possible to reproduce aspects of human knowledge in representations with greater scope, bringing them closer to natural cognitive models. knowledge representations resulting from traditional concept maps are limited to well-defined and analogous structures of explicit knowledge, however they do not consider propositional rules used by the memory retrieval system. Based on a theoretical foundation that aims to present relationships between tacit knowledge and human behavior, this work uses an interdisciplinary approach to knowledge representation, which considers the beliefs of individuals and the flow of psychic energy from the unconscious to the conscious, which modifies psychological states. With the use of Extended Concept Maps, the capability of knowledge representation of the traditional concept maps and the quality of repositories are enhanced, contributing to Knowledge Management.
