• Objectives of the journal: População e Sociedade is a scientific journal, with peer review, whose main objective is the publication of unpublished texts, of academic level, national and international, with the mission of creating a space for the dissemination, debate and development of interdisciplinary works of the scientific community, thus contributing to the promotion of critical thinking in the Social and Human Sciences.

• The use of the contents of the População e Sociedade journal by third parties is authorized under a Creative Commons license “CC BY”. The journal allows the author(s) to own the copyright to their work and this license allows others to distribute, adapt and develop the work, even commercially, as long as they give due credit for the original creation. This is the most flexible of the offers, as it is recommended for maximum disclosure and use of licensed materials, which allows for greater dissemination of articles published in the journal. Although we use the Creative Commons License on the CEPESE website, so that all available publications (including the journal) can be freely available and used as long as they are properly cited in any scientific research work, we do not have the practice of placing this information in each article published in the journal until to the moment. However, in the next issue of June, we will adopt this practice article by article.
