·         SILVA LUSITANA is a scientific journal in the areas of forestry science and environment, publishing preferentially papers which develop new concepts in these areas.

·         It has been edited by Unidade Estratégica de Investigação de Sistemas Agrários e Florestais e Sanidade Vegetal (ex- Estação Florestal Nacional), twice a year, since 1993.
