^lpt^aAs últimas três décadas do século XX caracterizam-se, em Portugal, por mudanças profundas no campo da educação com implicações na formação inicial de professores do 1º CEB (Ciclo do Ensino Básico) e na identidade profissional destes docentes. O trabalho que se apresenta insere-se nos processos de pesquisa desenvolvidos no âmbito de um projecto de investigação em curso que aborda a problemática da formação inicial e da identidade profissional dos professores do 1º CEB e focaliza uma das duas vias de investigação que o constituem, o que se consubstancia na recolha e análise de documentos sobre formação inicial de professores, produzidos nas três décadas em estudo. A análise global dos resultados permite-nos considerar que o currículo de formação inicial dos professores do 1º CEB sofreu, no período visado, transformações significativas, designadamente quanto aos significados que se inferem sobre a 'cultura e sociedade', a 'política educativa', a 'formação-profissionalização' destes docentes e sobre o 'perfil do professor a formar'. Essas transformações revelam o carácter dialógico das propostas curriculares (e do seu desenvolvimento) com as mudanças na natureza do estado e nas configurações sociais e económicas que têm ocorrido na sociedade portuguesa.^len^aThe last three decades of the 20th century are characterized, in Portugal, by deep changes in the education arena, with implications on the initial education of primary teachers and in their professional identity. The work hereby presented is part of the research processes developed within the scope of an ongoing research project, which approaches primary teachers’ initial education and professional identity issues, and is focused on one of the two research paths that are part of this project, that is, the collection and analysis of documents on teachers’ initial education, produced in the three decades under study. The global analysis of the results allows us to consider that the curriculum of primary teachers’ initial education suffered, in the mentioned period, considerable changes, specifically concerning the meanings that are inferred about 'culture and society', 'educational politics', 'education-professionalization' of these teachers, and about the 'profile of the teacher to be trained'. Those transformations reveal the dialogical character of the curricular proposals (and of their development) with the changes in the State nature and in the social and economic configurations that have been taking place in the Portuguese society.^lfr^aLes trente dernières années du XXème siècle ont été caractérisées, au Portugal, par des changements profonds dans l’éducation, avec des implications dans la formation initiale des instituteurs et dans leur identité professionnelle. Le travail ici présenté s’insère dans un projet d’investigation en cours sur la formation initiale et les identités professionnelles des instituteurs, dont il reprend l’une des deux lignes de recherche: recueil et analyse de documents concernant la formation initiale des instituteurs, produits pendant la période citée. L’analyse globale des résultats nous permet de conclure que le curriculum de formation initiale des instituteurs a souffert, au cours de ces trente années-là, des transformations significatives, notamment en ce qui concerne les significations inférées au sujet de 'culture et société', 'politique éducative', 'formation-professionalisation' de ces enseignants et 'profil de l’enseignant à former'. Ces transformations révèlent le caractère dialogique des desseins curriculaires (et de leur développement) avec les changements dans la structure de l’État et dans les configurations sociales et économiques qui venaient d’être mis en place dans la société Portugaise.
