Abstract

FERRAZ, Ana Lúcia Marques Camargo. A heuristic of ethnographic film: about image, remembrance and presence. Etnográfica [online]. 2014, vol.18, n.3, pp.575-598. ISSN 0873-6561.

This article seeks to deepen the theoretical debate about the relationship between image and memory, from a consideration of some research experiences mediated by the production of ethnographic films. I reflect about film as a privileged means to conduct ethnographies of duration, resuming the debate on ways of conceiving the relationship between anthropology and history.

Keywords : visual anthropology; durée; ethnographic film; memory; ethnographic present.
