Abstract

BARBOSA, Cecilia Aquino et al. Let's write about what do we do? The collective experiences of caring for the mental health of workers in a federal public institution during the covid-19 pandemic. Laboreal [online]. 2022, vol.18, n.2, e19768.  Epub Dec 30, 2022. ISSN 1646-5237.  https://doi.org/10.4000/laboreal.19768.

In March 2020, a health emergency was declared in Brazil due to the covid-19 pandemic. This has brought major changes to daily work, making it necessary to adopt duty rosters to combine on-site and remote work, contributing to the decrease in the movement of people with the aim of slowing the spread of the virus. Mental health assumed a prominent place, emerging as a major social concern, which led to an increase in responsibilities and expectations regarding the performance of the team of psychologists in the coordination of worker's health in a noteworthy federal public health institution. The objective of the article is to produce a dialogue between the work experience of this team and concepts offered by the ergological perspective and by the Psychodynamics of work, seeking to broaden both the understanding of the concepts and the experience of mental health care in the context of the covid-19 health emergency.

Keywords : Federal Public Service; covid-19 pandemic; Ergology; Psychodynamics of work; mental health and work.
