The development of digital competence brings significant advances demonstrated in the formation of competent citizens for the digital world. Currently, it is one of the most ambitious challenges for the educational community. Several key dimensions facilitate the evolution of digital competence, while the challenge is the design of powerful educational experiences. This article shows the results of the application of an educational intervention project for the development of digital competence according to the three dimensions known as Technological Fluency, Learning-Knowledge and Digital Citizenship. A quantitative study was designed through a quasi-experimental research design applying a longitudinal pre-test and post-test evaluation. Significant progress was found in all of them, although the Digital Citizenship dimension was the most complex to address in the primary and secondary stages.

Keywords : digital competence; dimensions; digital literacy; primary education; secondary education.
