Abstract

GOMEZ GOMEZ, Hernando. Chema Madoz: through visual-poetic universes. Estúdio [online]. 2012, vol.3, n.5, pp.366-373. ISSN 1647-6158.

Chema Madoz belongs to that class of artists who allow us to glimpse a way of seeing art as a quotidian life reflection although acting as unconditional observers. Maybe poetry is not the main purpose of his work, but it is impossible to deny a certain poetic and rhetoric link. That resources which were used respond to certain mechanisms that are similar to those used in linguistics? and its consequent results materialized in poetic meanings. The photograph will be the medium by which the poets show the world its new point of view, plus the arrangement of the objects displayed in a tiny color palette; white and black. The absence of artificial lights evokes the natural course of events and the viewercan not be indifferent to the originality expressed in these images.

Keywords : Chema Madoz; photography; rethorics; linguistics.
