Abstract

PLANAS, Joaquim Cantalozella. Jonathan Millán: Overexposed intimacy. Artistic exercises on exteriority. Estúdio [online]. 2019, vol.10, n.28, pp.92-99.  Epub Dec 31, 2019. ISSN 1647-6158.

This article analyzes the latest works of Jonathan Millán, specifically all those that have to do with the concept of privacy and its public exposure. It tries to study how the artist's intimate environment becomes a reflection that, going beyond the purely artistic, situates himself squarely in the problematic about what it means to be an artist today and how to survive in a context decimated by the banalization.

Keywords : self-representation; intimacy; privacity; contemporary art.
