The expansion of urban spot at the junction of the municipalities of Serra and Cariacica, Grande Vitória - ES (Brazil), a territorial area that comprises much of the Duas Bocas - Mestre Álvaro Ecological Corridor, is relatively recent and evidences the need for debates that place I highlight the discussions and problematizations about the formats of territorial management, in the municipal, metropolitan or state level, are highlighted. Our exercise, in this article, consists of attempts to problematize the zoning contained in the Cariacica and Serra Municipal Master Plans, at the boundary between these municipalities, within the ecological corridor, questioning the effectiveness of this instrument as an environmental preservation strategy, pointing territorial conflicts between municipal urban zoning and environmental guidelines.
