Abstract

Aim:
To describe and to analyze the world landscape of rehabilitation nursing nowadays.
Method:
Descriptive and Retrospectiv study, with research into databases of official sites from the International Council of nurses.
Results:
Out of the 134 countries surveyed, 13 present rehabilitation nursing. There are common axes between countries and some differences, which gives specificities in each country.
Discussion:
Rehabilitation nursing stems from the sequelae of soldiers at war.
Conclusion:
Rehabilitation Nursing is a philosophy of care, with the realization of specific and intentional care. We must move forward in the global construction and consolidation of the specialty.
