The construction of scientific knowledge comprises its discovery and its justification. Based on the application of rigorous methodological procedures, science is produced from research done by researchers motivated by problem-facts, guided by observation, experimentation, demonstration and comments. The Millennium- Journal of Education, Technologies, and Health presents itself as a diffusion medium of this knowledge, providing the entire scientific and technical community with the possibility of disseminating reliable studies, results, ideas and theories based on careful studies and empirical evidence.

In this edition, Millenium journal offers the possibility of deepening various scientific and technical subjects in the field of agricultural, food and veterinary sciences, life sciences and health, education and social development.

In the area of Agricultural, Food and Veterinary Sciences, the article “Virulence, ligninolytic enzymes and metabolic profile of Cryphonectria parasitica virulent and hypovirulent strains converted by CHV1 hypovirus” aims to understand the effect of hypovirus on virulence and metabolism of the fungus, concluding that some groups of substrates were more consumed by hypovirulent isolates, opening new perspectives to understand the biological process used by the hypovirus. In the second article of this section, entitled “Fixed-time artificial insemination in extensive cattle”, the objective is to improve reproductive performance in beef cattle, using fixed-time artificial insemination (FTAI), allowing the improvement of the pregnancy rate of 55% in 2018 and 2019. Completing the section are the articles “Effects of “Sargaço” extraction residues on seed germination” and “Development and stability of an anti-aging gel with hydroalcoholic extract from Salvia sp.”, which have as objectives, respectively: to evaluate the seed germination potential using the by-product of the Sargaço aqueous extraction process, the macroalgae extractive substrate; development and evaluation of various gel formulations incorporating essential oils of S. officinalis and S. elegans. The conclusions of the respective studies document that the washed residues of Sargaço have the potential to stimulate seed germination; gels with hydroalcoholic extract in concentrations of 5%, 2.5% and 1.25% of S. officinalis and S. elegans showed good stability.

In the Life and Health Sciences section, through the reading and analysis of three papers: "The social representation of nursing and being nurses: perspective of nursing students and tutors", "Blind adolescents: perceptions about their sexuality" , and “Risk factors for malnutrition in older adults: a systematic review”, there is the possibility of deepening the knowledge of our readers at different levels and perspectives. In the first work, the social representation of the Nursing discipline and profession can be understood by students and tutors of the Nursing graduation course, which in the case of students changes throughout the course as a result of the supervisory relationship with the tutors and in the case tutors the social representation is more structured than that of students, due to their academic and professional experiences; in the second, the perceptions of visually impaired adolescents about their sexuality are identified, these girls presenting the same characteristics of sexual development as the others, although they have their own characteristics; and, finally, in the third study, the risk factors that contribute to malnutrition in the elderly are identified, and it is necessary to reinforce and promote a multidimensional and multidisciplinary intervention that responds to the health condition of these people.

Finally, in the Education and Social Development section, two articles are presented, “Food and nutrition education tools for preschool children: current needs and challenges” and “Dynamic changes of the pelvic floor in elite athletes of different sports” . The first work aims to understand the development of preschool children, describing the most used food and nutrition education instruments and their possible impact on knowledge and eating behavior, and they should be enhancing of playful moments and significant learning. The second article describes the dynamic changes in the pelvic floor (PP) in elite athletes, suggesting that there are minimal differences in the parameters evaluated.

Analyzing the content of this issue of the journal, it appears that, once again, Millennium contributes to the deepening of scientific knowledge in several disciplinary areas, providing an opportunity for technical and scientific development and updating.
