The journal’s objectives are to publish and disseminate scientific articles in the field of gastroenterology, including the basic sciences, clinical practice and research. It encompasses all areas of gastroenterology, namely the digestive tract, liver and pancreas, and takes the form of original articles, review articles, clinical case studies, letters to the editor, editorials, images, endoscopic briefs, summaries of talks and posters presented at the annual conference of Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy, and other articles of recognised scientific value of interest to the speciality.
