Title: Motricidade

Objectives: The journal Motricidade publishes work focused in the areas of Sport, Health, Human Development and Psychology, contributing to the development and dissemination of scientific knowledge of theoretical and empirical character in the context of physical activity and health, and human performance, as well as in scientific fields related to human development, with particular emphasis on psychology. As a Journal targeted for students, academic and professionals in education, sport and health, the journal Motricidade emphasizes that the work should be as objective as possible, avoiding the use of speculation, but enhanced in the theorizing process.

Themes of interest:Sport, Health, Human Development and Psychology.

History: Journal Motricidade has initiated its publication in January 2005. Since then, it has published original and review articles on Sports, Health and Human Development, positioning itself in both Portuguese and Brazilian contexts as a reference to students, academics, researchers and professionals in the fields of Sports, Psychology, Education and Health. Since 2009, journal Motricidade has adopted a policy of open access, allowing free access to all of its contents, without any kind of embargo.
